Ms. Simon is an associate practicing in the areas of taxation, business transactions and corporate law. Ms. Simon has dealt with a broad variety of legal matters, including business entity structuring and formation, mergers and acquisitions, federal and state tax litigation, corporate financings, and estate planning.
While completing her legal education, Ms. Simon served as a judicial extern in the criminal division of the San Diego Superior Court, where she was responsible for researching and drafting orders and memoranda for several judges on a variety of criminal matters. She later served as a law clerk to the Honorable David M. Szumowski, Judge of the San Diego Superior Court.
Additionally, Ms. Simon served as a pro bono legal representative for a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in San Diego, CA, where she successfully represented an asylum seeker in deportation proceedings before the Honorable Anthony M. Atenaide, Immigration Judge.
